Drawing inspiration from the distinctive craftsmanship of Northern Ethiopia and Eritrea, the Tsirur (Pronounced as See-roor) is believed to evoke a symbol of grace and dignity. This intricate design, known as filigree, was introduced to goldsmiths in Northern Ethiopia by Greek and Armenian artisans through ancient trade routes over two centuries ago. Traditionally, Tsirur, along with other adornments, has been worn by women during social occasions to signify their social status and wealth. I am very disappointed with this product. It was advertised as 18K gold-plated, but based on its appearance and how it has tarnished quickly, I do not believe it is genuine 18K gold plating. The quality is far below what was advertised.
